Ecohydrology and socio-economy of coastal region
Soham Halder is a research scholar in School of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in IIT Kharagpur. He has joined in 2019 after completing his M.Sc in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). Curiousness about the diversity in ecosystem since his graduation days as a Zoology student in Vivekananda College prompted him to join the hydrogeology lab in IIT Kharagpur. He is primarily interested in exploring the physical framework of eastern coastal region to understand the eco-hydrological impact on biogeochemical processes in the intertidal zone of Bay of Bengal. Apart from that he has keen interest in analyzing the influence of hydrology on socio-economy in highly dynamic region like Sundarban.
