Research Topic:

Coastal Hydrogeology

I  am  a Junior Research Scholar (Hydrogeology Group) at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. My  interest broadly lies in the field of geochemical and biogeochemical modeling, reactive transport, the effect of climate change in the groundwater system and saltwater intrusion in coastal aquifers. I completed Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from The University of Burdwan in 2017 and had secured the university first position. I had secured an All India Rank of 19th position in Joint Aptitude Test for Masters (JAM). I  completed  Masters in Geology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. My interest lies in the field of surface water-groundwater interactions studies.I am trying to understand the Submarine Groundwater Discharge (SGD) processes along the eastern coast of India where many of the mega rivers are discharging into the Bay of Bengal.I am also interested in the application of geochemical modeling in this domain.
